When Adversity Strikes

When Adversity strikes, trust God absent any reservations. Trouble don’t last always. Believe in Jesus Christ beyond any of the ominous shadows your doubts may cast that the “Author and Finisher” of our faith can make a way out of no way. God is “Faithful and True” to finish what He started.

As an act of obedience, I posted this message. If this message is for you, know that God has heard your cries for help. God has seen every tear you shed last night when you cried yourself to sleep. It ain’t over until God says so. So stop listening to all the cynical people who still don’t believe you can beat the odds with God’s help and achieve great things.

Trust only in God.

Hi Manchild;
It is great to see you back. I hope both you and KWiz were able to make the most of your quality time with family members. It’s so important to be around love ones in times of adversity.

I remember when my dad was fighting his cancer, it was so painful to watch the effect the disease was having on his body and mind, but he had many friends and family with him throughout that time and I know that it made such an important impact on how he was able to cope with everything that was happening to him during those dreadful months. I can’t imagine what things would have been like for him had he not had the love and support of those around him.

All my love for you both;
Anna

Hello Anna,

If you were here, I’d hug you. The time away was needed more than I could have imagined. It’s amazing how God can use for good what our spiritual enemies intended to use for evil.

Thank you, for all you love and for making a difference in my life. As a sign of respect, I tip my hat to you.

Manchild

Hello, Manchild,

I’ll echo Anna’s “welcome back” as well as the hope that your time resulted in refreshment as well as other needs that were met.

I used to think that “being still” in time of need was an act of obedience as well as His wise direction to rest. Over the years, I’ve begun to realize that it is also our acknowledgment of lack of personal power in difficult situations;that our surrender to inaction is an act of faith in God that glorifies who He is and, as a result, provides us with the peace that passes all understanding.

May your act of honor continue to provide rest…

welcome back.. i have you all book marked and ready to begin again…. thanks for contacting me when you got back…

hope all went as well as can be expected with your family situation….

Welcome back.. And what a wonderful prayer.. *thanks*

Thank you for this post! Thank you for reminding us, that it is not over until ‘God’ says so! I leave with tears of joy while your words echo truthfully in my heart: “So stop listening to all the cynical people who still don’t believe you can beat the odds with God’s help and achieve great things.”

Right onI heard that!
