Hope For Hump Days

Quick question. If Opportunity knocked on your door, called you on your blue tooth enabled cell phone, sent you a text message on your iPhone or Blackberry five minutes from right now, would you be ready? If not, here’s a quote that I hope will challenge you on this “Hump Day” to get ready for your special date with Destiny.
“To every man there comes in his lifetime that special moment when he is figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered a chance to do a very special thing, unique to him and fitted to his talents. What a tragedy if that moment finds him unprepared or unqualified for the work which would be his finest hour.”

You know I don’t think anyone is truly ready. The real question is are you willing and ready just to take the 1st step. Just get up, just do it and the spirit and energy will always kick in.

Hi there….thanks for the love over on my blog! What an awesome quote! Without knowing it, every day when I go out to train and prepare my mind and body for the rigors of my sport, it is with this unconscious thought that I step out on faith, that when the time comes and the opportunity presents itself, whether that be the Olympics or any other endeavor that I might aspire to, that I will be ready and have NO regrets! Thanks for making it clear with this quote!

Once upon a time, we lost wonderful opportunities because we were either not prepared for them or didn’t recognize them but we can tell you that the story today is different. We’re not only alert to opportunities but actively seek them. Will add this quote from a great statesman to our library of quotes. Thanks for making it available!
