It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

The opportunities in store for us in any given year are something that we have to seriously consider. Seize every day that comes, and never let go opportunities. It is better to let go of bad habits and embrace another set of challenges to learn from.

My thoughts: Fear restrains the burgeoning spirit from transcending its limitations. Fear is the enemy of the mind and slayer of the spirit.

So true: " . . . why you repeatedly failed to exceed the imaginary limits of your own self-imposed limitations in 2008."

The imaginary limits - Wow! This has always been my biggest problem and still is. However, my problem stems more from a lack of focus. I've so many ideas brewing in my head that I can't decide which direction to take. And for one of the possible directions, PR, I don't have the passion to pursue it. Frankly, I don't enjoy the phone call follow ups that are required. Why is it so hard to pick one direction and stick to it? I'm all over the place. I even posted a blog entry called: If only there was a lost and found for the brain."

Thank you for your poetic inspirational thoughts on life.

A lot of people I knew had a pretty bad 2008 including myself, & my "goal" or "accomplishment" I want this year...is simply to have a better year than last!

Procrastination is the enemy of today and many have side with the latter. Let's do what we can for today and one of them is letting go of our past failures to get ready for the new year that awaits us.

I think that you are right-on-point for the year 2009. The time for procrastination has simmered to where most people have lost the knowledge of exactly what time it is and how much power they actually have over their individual lives. Good posting!

Talk about courage...just what I needed at this point in my life. I need to make a decision but I'm afraid to just let go and live but thanks to your post I guess I'm more ready now. Life is too short anyway to just fritter away.
